Welcome To Garrucha-apartments.com

We hope that you have visited this site as you are looking for a most enjoyable, yet relaxing Spanish holiday in the lovely fishing town of Garrucha, within the region of Andalucia. Garrucha is a typical working Spanish fishing town that boasts vast unspoilt beaches without the bustle of a commercialised seaside town. It is located on one of the last unspoilt and relatively unknown Costa's of South Eastern Spain, Costa De Almeria.

If you've imagined strolling along beach at the sea's edge feeling the hot sand between your toes and then the cooling of the blue crystal clear Mediterranean Sea as the small waves wash over your feet, with the warmth of the afternoon sun on your back and blue skies as far as you can see.

Or sitting on the beach in the shade of the palm trees reading your favourite novel whilst keeping a watching eye on your little ones playing in the sand.

Or maybe relaxing by the secluded pool after a day exploring the quaint hillside village of Mojacar pondering about visiting the castle perched on the hill over looking San Juan or talking a drive out to Mini Hollywood to see where the Spaghetti Westerns were made including "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly"?

Why not take a stroll along some of the 2km marble promenade during the evening on your way to one of the many quality restaurants that overlook the sea and the idyllic harbour with marina, still feeling the heat of the Spanish sun for a quality Spanish evening meal of that days catch of exotic fish or a tender steak.

Alternatively you are one of the few people (like ourselves) lucky enough to be part of this small piece of Spain, (albeit on a temporary basis at the moment) or waiting for your dream home in the sun to be built.

The  holiday apartment is on a small urbanisation at the Mojacar end of Garrucha just behind the medieval Fort the King Charles II of Spain built to defend this area of Spain from invasion.

There are all the required shops, a supermarket, butchers, grocers, hardware shops, clothes shops, a few shoe shops (for the ladies!) pharmacy, several banks, good selection of restaurants and a couple of ice cream parlours. Whatever you want, you'll be able to get it in Garrucha!

Every Friday (unless there is a fiesta) there is a very big market that runs along two parallel streets of about 500m each.

There are no package holiday operators coming here, and we personally hope that they will never start coming here. If this sounds like your ideal Spanish Holiday? Please enter our site where you will find yet more on Garrucha and the surrounding area. We have a active calendar and facilities to take bookings via credit and debit cards with immediate confirmation and there are discounts available.

I hope you enjoy your stay, Mark.

Ps. Don't forget your phrase book.
